ETFs/ETPs listed in Canada gathered net inflows of US$400 million in January 2015, according to ETFGI

ETFGI’s research finds the ETF/ETP industry in Canada gathered a record level of 2.7 billion US dollars in net new asset (NNA) in December 2014. During 2014 net inflows totalled US$9.2 billion. In January 2015, 6 new ETFs/ETPs were launched by 3 providers.  The top 100 ETFs/ETPs, out of 347, account for 85.5% of Canadian ETF/ETP assets with just 12 ETFs/ETPs having greater than US$1 Bn in assets.

BMO AM gathered the largest net ETF/ETP inflows in January with US$737 Mn, followed by Vanguard with US$180 Mn, First Asset with US$79 Mn, RBC Global AM with US$51 Mn and Powershares with US$41 Mn in net inflows.
