Recognising a market gap, FTSE Group and Bursa Malaysia Berhad have joined forces to bring you the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Palm Oil Plantation Index Series to represent this sector. Part of the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Index Series, the new indices provide investors with a tool to access the long term potential of this growth industry.
The series comprises three indices measuring the performance of Malaysian and Asian companies that have at least 30% of their revenue derived from the production, ownership or operation of palm oil or palm oil plantation activities:
FTSE Bursa Malaysia Palm Oil Plantation Index – A benchmark index based on the FTSE Bursa Malaysia EMAS universe to measure the performance of the Malaysian palm oil plantation industry.
FTSE Bursa Malaysia Asian Palm Oil Plantation Index (USD and MYR) – A tradable Asian index derived from the universes of developed, advanced emerging and secondary emerging countries as classified by FTSE in the Asia Pacific region excluding Japan, Australia and New Zealand. The index is designed for the creation ETFs, structured products, futures and other derivatives. Gross and net of tax versions are available.
