  • HANetf has partnered with Sprott Asset Management for the third time to launch Europe\u2019s first <\/em>Sprott Copper Miners ESG-Screened UCITS ETF (ticker: CPPR)<\/em>, a new ETF offering ESG-screened exposure to copper miners.<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n
  • HANetf and Sprott first partnered to launch\u00a0<\/em>Sprott Uranium Miners UCITS ETF (ticker: URNM)<\/em>, which this year became Europe\u2019s fastest-growing uranium ETF and accrued just under $210 million in assets under management (AUM).\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n
  • Earlier this year, they launched\u00a0<\/em>Sprott Energy Transition Materials UCITS ETF (ticker: SETM)<\/em>to offer exposure to the critical materials underpinning the energy transition.<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n
  • CPPR has an ESG-screen and is Europe\u2019s only Article 8 copper miners ETF under the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR).<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n
  • HANetf and Sprott Asset Management decided to launch the ETF following conversations with a large institutional investor in the DACH region to closer meet its ESG criteria.\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    CPPR is designed to offer investors pure-play and ESG-screened exposure to copper mining equities. The investment opportunity is exclusively focused on the upstream opportunity offered by copper miners, which stand to benefit from anticipated long-term global energy transition trends.<\/p>\n

    HANetf and Sprott Asset Management decided to launch the ETF following conversations with a large institutional investor in the DACH region that felt there was not a copper mining ETF that satisfied its ESG criteria.<\/p>\n

    Copper is already the third largest metals market by U.S. dollar value and demand is expected to rise due to its essential role in the clean energy transition. Copper\u2019s high conductivity, tensile strength, and corrosion resistance make it vital to electricity distribution and transmission.<\/p>\n

    Copper is also used in large quantities for the electric vehicle (EV) industry, which is seeing rapid growth as countries pledge to decarbonise their transport networks.<\/p>\n

    Miners could be well-placed to benefit from the current supply and demand imbalance when it comes to copper.<\/p>\n

    CPPR tracks the Nasdaq Sprott Copper Miners ESG Screened Index, and seeks to ensure compliance with SFDR Article 8 requirements through ESG reviews by Skarn Associates, controversy review by Sustainalytics, and additional screens for compliance with the United Nations Global Compact.<\/p>\n

    CPPR is the third ETF that HANetf and Sprott Asset Management have launched together, following\u00a0Sprott Uranium Miners UCITS ETF (ticker: URNM)\u00a0and\u00a0Sprott Energy Transition Materials UCITS ETF (ticker: SETM).<\/p>\n

    URNM was launched in 2022, and provides exposure to uranium miners as well as physical uranium. The fund became Europe\u2019s fastest-growing uranium ETF this year, exceeding $222m AUM. URNM has a US-listed sister ETF,\u00a0Sprott Uranium Miners ETF, with $1.45 billion AUM, and also invests in\u00a0Sprott Physical Uranium Trust, which has CAD$5 billion AUM.<\/p>\n

    SETM was launched in March of this year, and provides exposure to the companies that are providing the critical materials needed for the global clean energy transition, such as rare earths, silver, copper, lithium, nickel, manganese, cobalt, and graphite.<\/p>\n
