{"id":20527,"date":"2019-11-20T18:09:27","date_gmt":"2019-11-20T18:09:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/starthostunlimiteddmffassi-ss.stackstaging.com\/etfworld.co.uk\/?p=20527"},"modified":"2020-03-23T14:47:03","modified_gmt":"2020-03-23T14:47:03","slug":"lyxor-completes-the-integration-of-commerzbanks-asset-management-activities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.etfworld.com\/nl\/lyxor-completes-the-integration-of-commerzbanks-asset-management-activities\/","title":{"rendered":"Lyxor completes the integration of Commerzbank\u2019s asset management activities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Lyxor announces today that it has completed the integration of Commerzbank\u2019s asset management activities and of its EUR 16bn in assets under management, following the purchase of Commerzbank\u2019s Equity Markets &amp; Commodities business by its parent company Societe Generale Group in November 2018. ..<!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Lionel Paquin, CEO of Lyxor Asset Management<\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As part of this integration, Lyxor has opened an asset management branch in Germany, Lyxor International Asset Management SAS Deutschland (Lyxor Deutschland), based in Frankfurt am Main.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Lyxor Deutschland brings all of Lyxor\u2019s own active and passive investment activities in Germany and Commerzbank\u2019s EMC asset management business under one roof \u2013 including notably the ComStage range, one of the leading ETF providers in German retail banking.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Lyxor has been present in Germany since 2010* and will now lean on Commerzbank\u2019s robust set-up and the expertise of its local asset management professionals to expand its range of active and passive investment solutions and deliver seamless client service in Germany and Austria.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The branch will be jointly managed by Guillaume de Martel and Thomas Timmermann, who are appointed co-heads of Lyxor Deutschland.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Guillaume will be responsible for portfolio management and product development and Thomas will be responsible for sales and marketing1.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">They will be backed by an expanded team of experts in Frankfurt.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Institutional and private investors alike will benefit from a wider product and service range, including low-cost ETFs, innovative solutions in ESG and pioneering smart beta and fixed income products.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">They will have access to one of Europe\u2019s largest ETF product ranges, with over 300 choices, leveraging on Lyxor\u2019s heritage as an innovator and leader in Europe\u2019s ETF market, as well as on Commerzbank\u2019s know-how in German securities and its competitive edge in the country\u2019s fastexpanding retail ETF market.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The merger of some Lyxor and ComStage ETFs will create larger and more liquid investment opportunities. It aims to mitigate any negative impact for existing ComStage investors, avoiding fund re-domiciliation and closures. It should be completed by mid-2020.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">German and Austrian institutional clients will take advantage from proven quantitative active investment strategies for overlay management, multi-asset, European bonds and global equities.
