The combination of above average inflows and the positive performance of underlying markets led to an increase in assets under management from \u20ac798.5 bn as of May 31, 2020, to \u20ac830.0 bn at the end of June.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The increase of \u20ac31.5 bn for June was driven by the performance of the underlying markets (+\u20ac17.8 bn), while the net inflows contributed \u20ac13.7 bn to the increase in assets.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>It was not surprising equity funds (\u20ac543.9 bn) held the majority of assets, followed by bond funds (\u20ac250.5 bn), commodities products (\u20ac24.0 bn), alternative UCITS products (\u20ac5.9 bn), money market funds (\u20ac3.9 bn), mixed-assets funds (\u20ac1.6 bn), and \u201cother\u201d funds (\u20ac0.2 bn).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Graph 1: Market Share, Assets Under Management in the European ETF Segment by Asset Type, June 30, 2020<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.etfworld.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/14072020.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-21854\" src=\"https:\/\/www.etfworld.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/14072020.png\" alt=\"14072020\" width=\"700\" height=\"457\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Source: Refinitiv Lipper<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Fund Flows by Asset Type<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The European ETF industry enjoyed estimated net inflows for June (+\u20ac13.7 bn) which were above the rolling 12-month average. These flows brought that average up to \u20ac7.7 bn from \u20ac6.9 bn in May 2020.
