{"id":19546,"date":"2021-08-19T10:47:54","date_gmt":"2021-08-19T08:47:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/starthostunlimiteddmffassi-ss.stackstaging.com\/etfworld.de\/?p=19546"},"modified":"2021-08-26T11:46:16","modified_gmt":"2021-08-26T09:46:16","slug":"refinitiv-european-etf-market-july-2021","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.etfworld.com\/de\/refinitiv-european-etf-market-july-2021\/","title":{"rendered":"Refinitiv : European ETF Market, July 2021"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Refinitiv: July 2021 marked the sixteenth consecutive month with inflows into ETFs after the outflows caused by the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><a href=\"\/newsletter\">Abonnieren Sie unseren kostenloser Newsletter<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>By Detlef Glow, Lipper\u2019s head of EMEA research at Refinitiv<\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<div class=\"row\">\n<div class=\"col-md-7\">\n<div class=\"row\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div class=\"col-md-7\">\n<p>These inflows occurred in a positive but somewhat volatile market environment in which investor sentiment was still impacted by the dynamics of the COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting actions taken by central banks and governments in Europe and other parts of the world.<\/p>\n<p>The positive performance of the underlying markets led in combination with the estimated net inflows to increasing assets under management (from \u20ac1,177.8 bn as of June 30, 2021, to \u20ac1,197.5 bn at the end of July).<\/p>\n<p>The increase of \u20ac19.7 bn for July was driven by the estimated net sales (+\u20ac11.6 bn), while the performance of the underlying markets contributed +\u20ac8.1 bn to the increase of assets under management. With regard to assets under management, it was not surprising equity funds (\u20ac860.9 bn) held the majority of assets, followed by bond funds (\u20ac295.3 bn), commodities products (\u20ac29.6 bn), alternative UCITS products (\u20ac6.6 bn), mixed-assets funds (\u20ac2.6 bn), money market funds (\u20ac2.4 bn), and \u201cother\u201d funds (\u20ac0.1 bn).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"row\">\n<div class=\"col-sm-10 col-md-7\">\n<div class=\"ArticlePost-content\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Graph 1: Market Share, Assets Under Management in the European ETF Segment by Asset Type, July 31, 2021<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-18301\" src=\"https:\/\/www.etfworld.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/25-08-21-1-Refinitiv.png\" alt=\"25-08-21 1 Refinitiv\" width=\"650\" height=\"425\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Source: Refinitiv Lipper<\/em><\/p>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Fund Flows by Asset Type<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The European ETF industry enjoyed healthy estimated net inflows for July (+\u20ac11.6 bn) which were below the rolling 12-month average (\u20ac13.6 bn).
