Fixed Income and Equity ETFs accumulated \u20ac8.0bn and \u20ac0.3bn respectively.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>ESG ETFs<\/strong> continued their solid flow trend and gathered \u20ac1.4bn.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Smart Beta ETFs<\/strong> recorded further outflows with \u20ac-1.4bn.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Fixed Income funds and ETFs<\/strong>: fixed income funds and ETFs gathered a combined \u20ac30.6bn of net new assets with \u20ac22.6bn into open-ended funds and \u20ac8.0bn into ETFs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Equity fund and ETFs<\/strong>: equity ETFs and openended funds enjoyed \u20ac19.1bn of net new assets, with \u20ac18.8bn into funds and \u20ac0.3bn into ETFs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>ETFs had large outflows (\u20ac-25.6bn) over the month<\/strong>, with Fixed Income and Equity ETFs losing \u20ac-13.3bn and \u20ac-13.0bn respectively.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #9ab62f;\"><strong>Flows summary for the European ETF market in April 2020.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>What happened last month?<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8211; Equity ETFs gathered \u20ac0.3bn in net new assets. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8211; Fixed Income ETFs gathered \u20ac8.0bn over the same period.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>&#8211; Another strong month for ESG ETFs with \u20ac1.4bn in net new assets.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Market sentiment started to recover in April after the rout triggered by the spread of Covid-19 and subsequent containment measures adopted across the globe.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Flows into riskier assets started to materialise over the month including \u20ac19.1bn into Equities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Zooming in to sectors, April was a very strong month, with World sector funds and ETFs gathering \u20ac9.5bn.
