Detlef Glow, Lipper\u2019s head of EMEA research at Refinitiv<\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<div class=\"row\">\n<div class=\"col-md-7\">\n<p>These led, in combination with the positive performance of the underlying markets, to an increase in assets under management from \u20ac869.8 bn as of December 31, 2019, to a new record high of \u20ac883.1 bn at the end of January<\/p>\n<p>The increase of \u20ac13.3 bn for January was driven by net inflows (+\u20ac12.1 bn), while the performance of the underlying markets contributed \u20ac1.2 bn to the increase in assets.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"row\">\n<div class=\"col-sm-10 col-md-7\">\n<div class=\"ArticlePost-content\">\n<p><span style=\"color: #9ab62f;\"><strong>It was not surprising equity funds (\u20ac604.6 bn) held the majority of assets, followed by bond funds (\u20ac244.3 bn), commodity products (\u20ac23.3 bn), alternative UCITS products (\u20ac6.2 bn),<\/strong><\/span> money market funds (\u20ac3.0 bn), industry enjoyed estimated net inflows for January (+\u20ac12.1 bn) which were way above the rolling 12-month average.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #9ab62f;\"><strong>They brought that average up to \u20ac9.7 bn from \u20ac8.7 bn in December 2019.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #9ab62f;\"><strong> The inflows in ETFs were driven by equity funds (+\u20ac7.0 bn), followed by bond ETFs (+\u20ac4.9 bn), commodity ETFs (+\u20ac0.7 bn), and mixed-assets ETFs (+\u20ac0.1 bn).<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>On the other side of the spectrum, <strong>m<span style=\"color: #9ab62f;\">oney market ETFs (-\u20ac0.4 bn) faced the highest estimated outflows for the month<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #9ab62f;\">,<\/span> bettered by alternative UCITS ETFs (-\u20ac0.1 bn) and \u201cother\u201d ETFs (+\u20ac0.01 bn).<\/p>\n<p>This flow pattern drove the estimated overall net flows to \u20ac12.1 bn for the month<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"row\">\n<div
