justify;\">Equity ETFs (+\u20ac62.8 bn) were the asset type with the highest net inflows in the European ETF industry over the course of 2017.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Equity US (\u20ac97.3 bn) was the peer group with the highest assets under management at the end of December 2017.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The bestselling Lipper global classification over the course of 2017 was Equity Global (+\u20ac11.8 bn), followed by Equity US (+\u20ac10.7 bn) and Equity Eurozone (+\u20ac8.3 bn).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">iShares (\u20ac294.9 bn) accounted for 46.72% of the overall assets under management, far ahead of the number-two promoter\u2014Xtrackers (\u20ac68.1 bn)\u2014and the number-three promoter\u2014Lyxor ETF (\u20ac64.2 bn).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">iShares, with net sales of \u20ac34.6 bn, was the bestselling ETF promoter in Europe, followed at a distance by Xtrackers (+\u20ac11.2 bn) and Lyxor ETF (+\u20ac10.9 bn).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The ten bestselling funds gathered total net inflows of \u20ac18.9 bn for 2017.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">iShares Core S&amp;P 500 UCITS ETF USD (Acc) (\u20ac21.5 bn) was the largest individual ETF by assets under management for 2017.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">iShares JP Morgan EM Local Government Bond UCITS ETF (+\u20ac2.8 bn) was the bestselling individual ETF for 2017.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The average total expense ratio for ETFs in Europe stood at 0.32% on average at the end of December
