"The sophistication of the Canadian investment community is widely recognized in the financial industry.  Canada is a growing and important market for MSCI and over the last 10 years we have developed longstanding relationships with our clients there," said Jay McNamara, Managing Director and Head of Americas Client Coverage for MSCI. “With Francesco in place as Country Manager, we aim to continue meeting the needs of our Canadian clients and increase our local presence.”

Mr. Faiola joined MSCI as Vice President in 2004 in France. In 2013, he relocated to Toronto to lead the relationships with Canadian Asset Owners and Consultants using MSCI Analytics, after covering a similar role for The Netherlands, UK, Denmark and Southern Europe. Prior to MSCI, Mr. Faiola spent over 7 years at Moody’s Investors Services in London and Paris where he covered a variety of business development roles. Mr. Faiola started his career with the global custody business of J.P. Morgan & Company in Brussels after obtaining a Bachelor of Art degree in Finance from Bocconi University in Italy. Mr Faiola also serves as Steering Committee member of the PRMIA Chapter in Montreal. 

Mr. Faiola is based in Toronto.
